Reflecting on achievements and supporting future progress
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Serving as the President of the SAARC Federation of Oncologists – Nepal (SFON) has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my professional journey. During my tenure, we witnessed meaningful progress in strengthening our organizational structure, expanding academic engagement, and fostering regional partnerships in the fight against cancer. From launching impactful Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs to supporting collaborative research and enhancing ethical standards, I am proud of what we have achieved together as a community.
The success of SFON is a testament to the dedication of every member, and I remain confident that this momentum will continue under the capable leadership of Dr. Sandhya Chapagain and the newly elected executive committee. Their vision and energy will undoubtedly usher in a new era of innovation and inclusivity in our society.
As I transition to the role of Immediate Past President, I extend my full support to the current team and encourage all members—new and seasoned—to stay engaged, share knowledge, and work together for a future where cancer care across the SAARC region is united, ethical, and exceptional. I wish the new leadership all the very best in this noble endeavor.
